pain in her Bowels and this Deponent gave
her a Dow of Daffy's elixir and told her
to go to Bed and the complained all the
next day of being very ill and in the After-
noon she sent for a Mr. Lewis a Surgeon
who came and after asking her some Questions
he told this Deponent she was with Child
but the said Jane Allen< no role > desired it and
said several times that she was not with
Child, this Deponent ordered her to go to
Bed in the Evening which she did, and this
Deponent locked all the Doors of the house
to prevent her from carrying away the Child
or destroy it in Case she should be delivered
of a Child without any ones knowledge
and the next morning this Deponent
went to her and from what she saw she
[..] had reason to conclude that she had miscarried
and she went to MrsandLewis and acquainted
him that the said Jane Allen< no role > had miscarried
and asked him if he would come and see her
and inform this Deponent if he could, how far
she had been gone with Child, but he said it was
of no Consequence and that she would do very
well and might be well enough to go away in
about

a Week, for this Deponent was determined to be
send her away as soon as possible.
the next day she came down Stairs into the
Kitchen and wanted to go away from thence
and said she would go by the two O'Clock
[..] Stage but this Deponent would not
suffer her to go out of the house, so she staid
with this Deponent until Saturday the
fifth [..] of May and then went away
about seven o'Clock in the morning
and this Deponent hes never heard any thing
of her since, excepting that an application
was made to her for her Character.

This Deponent further sayeth that on
Wednesday last the eleventh Instant some Men
came to mind the Drains and said they could
not mend then until the Privey [..] was emptied
which appeared to be nearly full and whilst
the Men were gone to Dinner this deponent's
Maid Servant Ann Beo< no role > told her then appeared
to be a bundle of Rags in the Privey whereupon
this Deponent got the Kitchen Torys and by
means there of pulled up a large Bundle of
Rags and upon examining it discovered it
to be a Child whereupon this Deponent sent for
Mr. Lewis the Surgeon who came soon afterwards
who said that it appeared to be nearly at its
