Strangulation about his Neck and after strict
Inquiry of his Wife who was in the House and
had slept with the deceased the last Night
shetoldproduced a small Cord which she took
out of her Pocket bywithwhich she said she
found him hanging and which was tied round
the Beam of the said drying Horse and the other
End round his Neck and being a Poor ignorant
Irish woman she said it was a shame that a man
should hang himself and can not imagine
why he should hang himself, this Deponent
further saith that there was a Chair in the Room
near where the deceased lay on the Ground and
upon the Horse a recent Mark where a Cord
had been and nearly over where the Body lay
and from Circumstances this Deponent is of
opinion that in a fit of Lunacy he had hanged
himself
