Struck him two or three times, the Deced then
fell down backwards upon the edge of a Sub
used to hold Offals of Carcaser killed in the Market,
aforesaidPhillip Brooks< no role >

James Dunton< no role > Petitionerthe St. Albans Street Poulterer being
Sworn Saith, that on Saturday the 11 Day of
August 1794 between the Hours of 4 & 5 O'Clock
in the Afternoon-as the Deced was setting in a Bulk
Head in St. James Market and William Jackson< no role >
Standing near him, in Consequence of some
Words Passing between in Joke, but what they
were the Dept. does not know. Jackson said he
would give him a Screw, and came towards him
that the Deced immediately jumped from the
Bulkhead and said hold of Jackson by the
Collar and dragge him with Violence down
against a Tubb standing there, that it heir his
Fore Apparently with some Violence which
appeared to hurt Jackson That Jackson in
consequence of being pulled down, Extricated
himself from the Deced and immediately went
up to the Deced and Street him several blows
which knocked him down, whether upon the edge of
a Sub that was Standingasthem or not the Dept
does not know-but he Died at most immediately.

Widow being duly Sworn-Saith that on Saturday
last between four and five o'Clock in the afternoon
as the Deced was setting by this Dept. at her Green
Stall in the Market aforesaid, something was
thrown by some Person behind at the Deced, but
what it was and whether it hit him or not the Dept.
does not know as She did not see any thing thrown, but
the Deced upon looking round he saw William
Jackson
< no role > standing and said to him, dont let me
have any more of that sort upon which
Jackson come round to the Deced and Stood
before him whereupon the Deced said hold of
Jackson's Shirt with Violence and tone it upon
which a Scuffle ensued and blows passed between
them but who struck [..] the Dept doesnot
know, and immediately went away
