Informations taken this Twenty [..]
day of September 1791 at the Parish
of St. Paul Covent Garden within the Liberty
of Westmr. in the County of Midsex upon
an Inquisition touching the death of
John Gibson< no role > lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Margaret Hootton< no role > Servant to Mrs. Gibson
of James Street in the Parish of St. Paul Covent
Garden on her Oath saith That Mr. John
Gibson
< no role > the Deced and Mrs. Gibson his Wife
come home together last the Night about [..]
half after Ten o'Clock the Deced appearing
to be in Health Says that they [..]
went up Stairs very soon after in order
to go to Bed says that this Morning about
Ten o'Clock Dept. was sweeping down the
Stairs when she saw Blood running
under the Deced. Bed chamber Door on the
First Floor into the Passage loading to the
Stairs Says that the opened the Bed
Chamber Door and looking in saw the
Deced lying in his Shirt upon the Floor
by the Bed side, Saw Blood upon the
Bed Cloaths and upon the Deced's Sheet
the Deced appearing to be dead, Says
that she saw a School Handle case Knife
lying on the Floor near the Deced
Bloody Says that she was frightened
went down Stairs and acquainted
Mr. Hawson the Surgeon therewith who
went up [..] Says that she
heard Mr. Hawson say that the Deced
had cut his Throat and Dept. believes
that he did it with the Knife this Dept.
saw Bloody, on the Floor, Says that the
Deced has been at times very low Spirited for
