Informations taken this Fifth day of
September 1791 at the Parish of St. James
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Midsex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of Samuel Crabb< no role > lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty & County.

Henry Berridge< no role > Son of Henry Berridge< no role > a
Coachman who lives in Masords Yard in
the Parish of St. James Westminster (Aged
near fourteen Years) on his Oath saith
That on Thursday Evening the first Instant
this Dept. was in Masons y. Yard when
he was told that Bob's Thigh was broke
upon which Dept. went into Mr. Keate's
Stable in that Yard, Says the saw Bob
Mr. Heate's Groom Sitting upon a Parl in
the Stable Rubbing his Knee and complained
of being hurt by a Kick from Mr. Keates
Bay Horse that stood there, Says that
Samuel Crabb< no role > , (Mr. Keates Footman ) come
into the Stable and Bob the Groom told
him not to go near the Horse but Deced
went up to the Horse and with both his
Hands Struck the Horse upon the Rump
That the Horse there upon with both his
hindar feet kicked the Deced upon the
Groin on the right side and Deced fell
down saying that he was hurt very bad,
That the Deced got up and than lay down
upon the Dunghill near the Stable Door
Says that he does not know that the Bay Horse
ever kicked any Person before, nor does
he know the Horse to be vicious, Says
that the Horse will not kick if he is spoke
to, before a Person goes up to him.
