day of January 1790 at the Parish of St.
Margaret within the Liberty of Westmr .
in the Country Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the Death of Adam Smith< no role > an
Infant lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

William Ogden< no role > House Surgeon at the Westmr.
Hospital in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr.
on his Oath saith That on Sunday the Tenth Instant
Adam Smith< no role > an Infant was brought to said
Hospital as an Accident being burnt very much
upon the Breast Sides under the Arm Pits, the
Left Arm and the Neck up the [..] say the
he Dressed the Deced and that very care
was taken of the Deced in the Hospital but
Deced died there Yesterday Morning the Twenty
sixth Instant in consequence of the Burning
above mentioned as Dept believes.

Oath saith That on Sunday the Tenth Instarrt [..]
Dept. was in his Entry when he heard sereming
out in a House in pye street in the Parish of
St.John the Evangelist [..] Westmr. Says that the
went there and a Woman called Mr. James
a Lodger on the Ground floor desired.Dept. to
go up Stairs saying that a Child was on [..]
there, upon which he went up and in a
two pair of Stairs Room there Dept. saw the
Deced. an Infant with the Linen Cloaths
on Fire and the upper part of his Body very
much, but not says that there was a fire in
the Chimney, and the Deced was standing in
the [..] at same distance from the Fire
and that there was another Child in the Room
Says that he wrapped the Child in a Leu [..]
