An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at the Parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Twelfth day of January in the twenty seventh
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of
Great-Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas
Prickard
< no role > , Gentleman, Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on
View of the Body of Woman, name unknown then and there lying dead, upon
the Oath of Robert Sinclair< no role > , John More< no role > , Thomas Gusheron< no role > , Peter Aghite< no role >
Henry Oldfield< no role > , Jesse Gray< no role > , John Williams< no role > , Philip Rickards< no role > , William
Finden, Thomas Warren< no role > , Matthew Hodsdon< no role > , and Francis Bradley< no role >
good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Woman, name unknown came to
h er Death, do upon their Oath say

That the said Woman unknown on the
Eleventh day of January in the year aforesaid at the Parish aforesaid, in
the Liberty and County aforesaid, to wit in an Apartment or Lodging Room
of Mr. Isaac Froome< no role > known by the Sign of the Whitechapel Inn in Great
Hart Street there situate, did by the Visitation of Gouthen and there Dye
a Natural Death, and not otherwise. In Witness whereof as well the
said Coroner as the Foreman of the Jurors aforesaid on behalf of himself
and the rest of the said Jurors have to this Inquisition set their Hands
and Seals the Day Year and at the Place first abovementioned
