William Lynn< no role > of St. Martins Lane Surgeon on his Oath
Saith that on Monday last about one o'Clock he was called
to see a man who had cut his Throat at the Hugerford
Coffee house in the Strand -Deponent found the Deced on
his Belly on the Bed a wash Hand Bason of Blood by the
Bed on the Floor, Deponent turned him on his Back, but
Deceased finding that situation disapceable turned again on
his Belly Deponent told the Deceased he found it impossible
for him to speak but desired he would make Signs and signified
it would he proper for him to remove into a Chair heaver the
light and that he might then the hetter close the parts
the Deced held up his hand that it might he so the parts
were then so well closed with the lyatines and the bauldge
that the Deced could then speakDept. deadDeceased
shook Deponent by the hand said he was much obliged to him
and wished to have a clean Short & expresed a depire to get
into Bed as he found himself sick and otherwise inconvienient
in that erect Situation-after Dced was put to Bed Dept..
went into another Room where the Gentleman were that
know him the Person of the Ship that the Deceased belonged
to was one who told Deponent he had wrote the Deced a Letter
that Morning, the Contents he did not signify only that of

was of on trifling Notice Deponent observed that he had
been some torn popers in the Deceds Room and went and
Collected them together in a Night Cap & bought then in
they consisted of paste beard Cards and a fesh written Letter on
Paper. the Person said that was the Letter he had wrote the Letter
began with my Door Boy-the Sums of 2s 6d and £1.1.-pa [..]
was mentioned, but the Letter was tore in Such small pears that
it was not possible to come at the Knowledge of the whole
true contents Deponent says he did every thing in his Power
in his Profession but the Deceased Died this Morning about a Quarter
before Four o'Clock-Deponent says the Deceased never said any
thing about the cause of his commetting the rash Action
says he had desired that he might not speak if possible
for fear of endangering the part-Deponent says that he
Saw a Person on Tuesday at the Hungerford Coffee House who
Said he had been acquainted with the Deceased for Nine
Years, that he was of an even temper, but that he thought
he appeared much altered that Morning sometimes high Spinster
at other times very low and as he expressed it rather Frantic
and that he was sorry that he had parted from him.-the
Person that told him this said he was going to acquaint Red
Deceased & other of the Accident
