Says that Read said to Mr. Towser that
he would drink half a Dirct of Gin il he would
pay for it, and upon Tawser saying
that he would pay for it, Read drank
it up, Says the Deced after wards said
to Mr. Towser if you do not give me
another hall Pint of Gin on Six pence
I will Leather you well, which he
at first refused. but after wards gave
six pence to the Deced, who immediately
went in to Mr. Sawyer and called for
another Half Pint of Gin, which
Deced drank, and then came out
to Dept. and asked Mr. Towser, for
More, which he refused, but Deced
went to the Barr and called for men
Gin, but Mr. Sawyer refused to Serve
him, Says that the Deced and Read
appeared to be much Intoxicated and
could hardly walk, and fell down
Says, that Mrs. Sawyer Advised Dept.
to take Decedhimto his own Bed, (being
a Place under the Stairs) where her
had lain many Nights, and this Dept
and another man carried the Deced
and Read there and left them setting
being about half past five o Clock
Says that about an hour after a
Woman told Dept. that the Deced & Read
were Servring, upon which he went
to them, and found them as sleep and
morning as he left them and that
he loossend. the Handkerchief about
Deced's Neck & Reads left asleep, Says
that about Eight o'Clock that Evening
this Dept. heard that the Deced Was dead.
and Dept. thinks that he died in
consequency of Drinking the Liquor
abovementioned.

belonging to Mr. Sawyer on his Oath
saith That on Saturday last the Ninth
Instantaboutbetween four and five
o'Clock in the afternoon he observed the
Deced and Mr. Road much in Liquor, That [..]
a little before five o'Clock Dept. was told
that the Deced and Road, were in Mr.
Sawyer's Taproom asleep, and on his
going into the Taproom he saw them [..]
asleep there, That Mr. Sawyer advised
their being carried to a Place under
the Stairs to Sleep, (where Deced had
lain several times before asleep to
Dept knowledge, Says that mullet the
Cobler and this Dept. carried the Deced
and Mr. Read, and left them both sith
upon their Back sides, asleep Says the
between Six & Seven o'Clock amaid
Servant
Young woman in the House Deft
to loosen the Collars of the Men lest [..]
might be Stromgled with the Liquor
upon which Musset [..] this Dept. went
found them asleep and Deceds Head
resting upon a Beam and Moillet
loossend their Collars, and went away
That between Seven & Eight of Clock
they went again, and found the Deced
dead as Dept. thought, the Deced's Head
having fallen of the Wooden Beam
and Hanged do over by the side of it
Says that a Journey man belonging to
Mr. Holder the Apothecary, was fetched
who Advised the Deced's being carried
home and put into a Warm, That he
assented to carry the Deced to his Mother
where he was put into Bed, and the
Young Apothecary and another Gentleman
endeovoured for some time to restore him
to Life, without Effect, the Deced being
dead
