Informations taken this thirteenth
day of September 1784 at the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square within the Liberty of
Westmr. in the County of Middlesex upon an
Inquisition something the death of John Small< no role >
lying deced in the said Parish Liberty & County.

Peter Francis Bergwell< no role > of Mount Street in
the Parish of St. George H [..] Square Hair Dresser
on his Oath saith That John Small< no role > & his wife
lived in the same House in the Celler under
Depts. Shop Says that he went out on Business
Yesterday a little after Six o'Clock in the
Afternoon and returned home about half
after Nine or a little later Says that in
about five Minutes Mrs. Small the Deceds
wife knocked at the Street Door & desired
Dept. to send her his Key of the Street Door
saying that she was going out there being
a Candle lighted in the lass aged and Mrs. Small duly says that the
he gave Mrs. Small the [..] & she went out
desiring Dept. to open the door for her if she
should not be able to open it Says that
about three Quarter of an hour Mrs. Small
came in again Mr. Hooper being with her
Says that they were standing at the Door
and Dept. desired her to come in or Stay out
upon which Mrs. Small replied if you knock
what has happened to in If would not
told so, after some words Mrs. Small said
that some thing had happened, and he might
be affirced to her and Mr. Hooper then
said that Mrs. Small said cut his Throat
Says that Mrs. Small Mr. Hooper Mr. Brooks Fint [..]
Dept. and one others went into the Coller
where they found the Deced sitting on the
send of the Bed, leaving backwards, having
