chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said

of sound Mind Memory and Understanding but lunatick and
Distracted on the Ninth day of May in the Year aforesaid at the
Parish and in the Liberty and County aforesaid a certain
Gun or Fowling Piece which he the said

there had and held in his Hand, and charged with Gun Powder
and a leaden Bullet, to and against the Body of him the
said

did then and there shoot off and discharge
by Means whereof he the said

did then and there
give unto himself with the leaden Bullet aforesaid, so
discharged and shot out of the Gun aforesaid by the force of
the Gun powder aforesaid in and upon the leftside of the Belly
of him the said

one mortal Wound of the breadth of one
Inch and of the Depth of five Inches, of which said mortal Wound
he the said

their and there instantly died. And so
the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say, that
