Informations taken this First day of
April 1784 at the Parish of St. Clement
Danes within the Liberty of Westmr . in
the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Henry Fife< no role > lying
dead in the said Parish Liberty & County

Sarah< no role > the Wife of Joseph Birch< no role > a Lodger on
the same Floor with Deced in the House of Joseph,
Wynne
< no role > in the Parish of St. Clement Danes on
her Oath saith, That on Tuesday the Twenty third,
[..] of March last about five o' Clock in the After noon Dept.
was in her own, Room when she heard Mary Fife< no role >
Deced's Daughter crying out Murder in Deced's
Room, upon which She went into Deced's Room
and saw Elizabeth Fife< no role > Deced's Wife have her
Daughter Mary Fife down upon a Box or Chair there
and Kneeling upon her & kicking her, the
Daughter holding her Mother's Hands to present
her being hurt, upon which Dept. took Elizabeth
Fife out of the Room, That she knocked at the
Room Door and got in again, this Dept. staying
at the Door, Says that there was some Coffee
in a Tin Can upon a Table there, with Coffee
and Tox Cups, and that Mr. Fife with her hand
threw the Coffee and Coffee Cups down towards
the Bed where Deced then was, & setting up
in his Shirt Says that some of the Coffee fell
upon the Bed Cloaths and some upon the Floor
but Dept. not whether the Coffee was hot
or
