or not, Says that the Deced has not been well
since last Whitsuntide and was very ill
at that time. That he died last Monday the
Twenty ninth of MarchInstant, and Dept. believes that
the Deced died a natural Death. Saysthat
that the Deced in Tuesday Night after his Wife was taken
away said to Dept. that was afraid his Wife had given him
something.

Mary Fife< no role > Daughter to the Deced on her Oath saith
That on Monday Night the Twenty second March
last the Deced was ill in Bed in his Room
and Elizabeth Fife< no role > his Wife lying down on
the same Bed being much in Liquor That her
Mother called for some Water, That Dept. put a bet of
Toasted Bread into some Water in a Pint Pewter Pot,
and gave it to her Mother, who was angary on Accot.
of its not being given sooner, and threw the Water
at Dept. and some of it fell upon Dept. some upon
the Bed Cloaths and some upon the Floor, Says, that
her Mother said that she was Sorry any of it had fallen
upon the Bed, and Deced said he know it was out
thrown at him, Says that the Deced has not been
well Since last Whitsuntide, and worse for two
or three Months last past Says that Deced died
last Monday, and Dept. believes that he died in
a Natural Way Says that Deced on Tuesday
night the 23d. March in the Evening [..] the Doctor
that attended him, thathehis Wife had talked of
giving him Slow Porion he hoped she had not done
it, upon which the Doctor desired Dept. to save his
Water which she did and Served it to the Doctor

who said it looked very clear and well, and
that there was no Appearance of Deced's having
been poisoned, That the Water looked thick
on Thursday, the Deced being then worse
and continued worse, until last Monday
when he died,

Row on this Oath, That on Tuesday Evening
the Twenty third day of March last this Dept. [..]
havingwas sent for to Deced's Room, when
he heard Elizabeth Fife< no role > the Deced's Wife (who
was much in Liquor) Say That she would
wash her hands in Deced's Heart Blood, That
she would Kill her Daughter, Destray the
Baby and Set Fire to the House, upon
which Dept. had the Woman taken up and
sent to the Watch house Says that the Deced
soon after that he was afraid Bett had
given him slow Porion, and this the Deced
Repeated three or four time in Dept. hearing
before he died.
