the Parish of St. James within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the Death of Thomas Boyce< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

Westmr. Esqr . on her Oath saith That Thomas
Boyce
< no role > the Deced was footman to Mr. Jones
Says that the Deced on Wednesday last
stayed up Stairs in the Afternoon, in his
Room Says that on Thursday Morning last
(5 February) about Eight o'Clock Dept. Saw
Deced in the Kitchen, where he staid a
few Minutes only and went up Stairs
again, Says that she went up to Deced
two or three times that day, when Deced
was in Bad and complained of his Head
and Breast Says that between two & three
o'Clock that Afternoon, Dept. went up Stairs
to make the Bed when she found the Deced
lying upon the Floor by the Bed side, who
lifted uphisHis Hand, and desired Dept.
to help him, Says that the Room Smelt of
Gunpowder and was full of smoak Says
that she was frightened and went down to
call Jane Musgrove< no role > her Fellow Servant & the Footman
Says that they than saw a great deal of
Blood upon the Floor where Deced lay, which
came from his Head, and Dept. afterwards
saw a Wound in Deced's Head on the Right
side, Says that they lifted Deced upon the
Bed
