Door and Mr. Stawton looked in and
immediately turned back very much
frightened, says that he then forced
open the Shop Door out of the Passage
which was Locked and Bolted, and on
going in saw the Deced Hanging in
the shop by a small Cord which was
fastened to an Iron Staple drove into
the Ceiling and about the Deced's Neck
with a running Noose, says that
with his Penknife he cut the Cord and
laid the Deced down the Deced appearing
to be dead but not quite Cold, Says
that two Surgeons were fetched who
endeavoured to restore the Deced to Life
about three Quarters of an hour
without effect, says that one of the
Surgeons put his Hand into the Deced
Coat Pocket and took out a four Pound
Iron Weight, and that the other Surgeon
took out from the Deced's Coat Pocket on
the other side a two Pound Iron Wright
