Informations taken this Twenty third
day of September 1782 at the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square within the Liberty
of Westminster in the County of Middlesex
upon an Inquisition touching the death
of Lucy Lincoln< no role > lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County

Henry Weston< no role > Servant to the Company belonging
to the Chelsea Water Works in Hyde Park on his
Oath saith, that Yesterday Morning about
six o Clock a Boy going along Hyde Park
saw a Hat floating upon the Water in the Bason
in Hyde Park , upon which Mr. Bonnell & Dept.
Dragged the Bason but could not then find the
Deced, Says that being afterwards informed
that a Woman was Missing Dept. Dragged
the [..] Bason again in the afternoon and found the Deced
Drowned there and got her to the Shore, Says
that the Deced did not appear to have been
long Dragged, nor did he observe any Marks
of violence upon the Deced And Dept. believe
that the Deced Drowned herself

Margaret Haward< no role > Cook to Major Madan in
Green Street Grosever Square on her Oath saith
That Lucy Lincoln< no role > the Deced has lived House maid
with Major Madan one Month last past and
at times appeared to be very low Spirited &
at other times very chearfull, Says that on
Saturday, Morning last Deced was very Melancholy
and between One and two o' Clock that day was
in Rich Spirits in the Kitchman with Dept.
That she then went up Stairs, and Dept. did
not see her afterwards alive, Says that the
Deced
