Verdict of the Jury touching the Death of
Thomas Owen< no role > .

That the said Thos. Owen< no role > being riding full gallop on Wednesday
the 31st. day of July 1782, at or near Hammersmith
Turnpike in the County of Middx be unfortunately rode against
the Shaft of a Cart whereby he received a violent and Mortal Fracture on
his thigh of which he languished untill the 5th. day of Augt.
1782 in St. George's Hospital near Hyde Park corner and them
Died. And so the Jurors on their Oath say that the said
Thos. Owen< no role > in manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally
casually and by Misfortune [..] came to his Death and not
otherwise. In Witness whereof the Foreman on behalf of
himself and the rest of the Jurors has hereunto set his Hand
this 6th. day of August 1782.
