Informations taken this Twenty ninth
day of July 1782 at the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square within the Liberty
of Westmr . in the County of Midsex upon
an Inquisition touching the death of
Thomas Whittingham< no role > lying dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County.

Richard Harper< no role > a Lodger at Mr. Hargett
in South Molton Row in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square on his Oath saith, That on
Saturday Morning last For Twenty seventh
Instant about Eleven o'Clock Dept. went to the
Sign of the Grey Horse in Woodstock Street
in said Parish and found the Deced and
Thomas Moore< no role > tossing up together for a Pot
of Ale, Says that the Deced lost the Pot of
Ale but refused to pay it, and Moore insisted
that he should pay, Say's that they laid
hold of one another but did not Fight, Says
that they both pusled off their Cloths, but no
blow was struck by either, and they agreed
to toss up again whether the Deced should
pay the Pot. and Deced last and agreed to
pay for it, Says that they then put on their
Cloaths and appeared, to be good Friends
sat down and trunk together about five
Minutes, Says that they got up and closed
together the Deced saying that he could throw
Mr. Moore, Says that they Wrestled a little
and Moore threw the Deced in the Taproom
That they got up and wrestled again when
the Deced threw Moore and fell upon him
with great force, That the Deced got up
and Dept. believes they would have wrestled
again if he had not prevented then, Says
that the Deced sat down in a Box about five
or six Minutes when Dept. observes that his Counte name
was
