William Greaves< no role > of Downing Street Surgeon
on his Oath saith That betwen twelve and One
o'Clock this Day Dept. was desired to come to the
Deced who was a Lodger at Mr. Watson's in
Parliament Street , Says that he went and
found the Deced lying upon his left side on the
Floor in his Bed chamber, without either Cap or
Wig, with a Hole in his Head above his Right
Ear, made by a Pistol Ball which Pistol lay on the Floor
near the Deced as Dept. apprehends Says that there was Blood upon
the Floor where Deced lay, and upon his
Wastcoat, and Deponent believes the Wound
to be the cause of Deced's death. Says that
he at times attended the Deced in this Profession
and was often with the Deced who has for
several Months been low Spirited and in an
Hypocondraiacal Way .

Apothecary on his Oath saith, That he has attended
the Deced every day for a Month last past, the
Decedbeinghaving at first a Fever, was low Spirited
and Hypocondraical, Says that the Fever in
some measure abated, but a slow Fever
continued, and his other Complaints, and
Deced often told Dept. that the Fever was such as
he could never shake off, Says that the
Deced slept badly at Night and complain
of general Weakness, and in that
Stole Dept. left the Deced yesterday.

Gentleman on his Oath saith That Henry
Ballowe
< no role > the Deced has lodged in Depts. House
between three and four Years, Says that
he was in his Yard between ten and Eleven
oClock this Morning, when he heard and Report
of what he believed to be a Pistol, and thought
it was not in his House, Says that some time,
after he was informed, that the Deced had
shot himself, and Dept. saw the Deced lying
dead upon the Floor and a Pistol near his
right Hand, That there was much Blood
upon the Floor and a Wound in Deced's [..]
above the Right Ear, and Dept. believes that
the Deced shot himself.
