and this Dept. says that he heard no
Raise in the Court behind his Master's
House last Night until he heard the
Deced Green, and believes that the
Deced in endeavouring to get over
the Iron Rails of the Thatched House
Tavern , where Deced lived, stuck
upon one of the Iron Spikes and thereby
reced the Wound in his right Thigh
which caused his Death. And Dept.
Says that he saw Blood last Night upon
the Iron Spike.

the Thatched House Tavern in St. James's Street Westmr
on his Oath saith That Richard Chace< no role > the
Deced was Waiter to Mr. Willis and that he
went out yesterday between four & five
o'Clock in the Afternoon, and Dept. did not
see him afterwards, until about half
hour after Twelve when he was awaked
(Dept. being in Bed) by Francis Mr. Newton's
Man, who informed him that Richard lay
bleeding in the Court and was almost
dead Says that he got the Keys and
went into the Court to Deced, who was
sitting upon the Ground with his Breeches
down, a great deal of Blood being in
his Breeches, on his Cloaths and on the
Ground, Says that he spoke to Deced who
made no Answer, but appeared to be dying
Says that he assisted to carry the Deced into
the Tavern where Mr. Walker the Surgeon
was

was fetched to Deced, who died in less
than a Quarter of an hour, and Dept.
believes that the Deced struck upon one
of the Iron spikes in attempting to come
over the Iron Rails, to get into the Houa
(the Doors being Locked) and there by
reced the Wound in his Right Thigh
which caused his death, Says that
he saw Blood upon two of the Iroon R [..]
when the Deced was carried into the
Tavern.
