Deceaseds Team came up to the fore Horse of the Dray, the
said Horse twined his Head towards the said fore Horse of
the Dray and Neighed and immediately reased up and struck
out hisforekind Legs, Deponent saw the Deceased immediately fall, &
the Wheel of the Cart the Deceased way driving just grazed
his Face as it passed on, Deponent immedeately went and
assisted in helping the Deceased up with other Persons who
were there, and the Deceased was carried to his own House
in Milbank Street .

Samuel Whitwell< no role > House Surgeon of Westminster Hospital in
James Street , on his Oath saith that on Wednesday the 30th day
of August last about 4 o'Clock in the Afternoon the Deced
was brought to the laid Hospital, Deponent examined the
Deceased, he complained of a violent Pain of his side with
very great difficulty of Breathing, found a fracture on the
left side, all necessary Applications were administred, but
the Deceased Died this Morning about 3 o'Clock, the Deceased
Body was opened this Morning by Mr. Instamond Surgeon of
the said Hospital in the Deponents presence, when it
appeared

appeared that six of the Deceaseds Ribs were fractured, five
on the left side and one on the right, the left side of the
Langs Were out whereby there was a great effusion of Blood
a violent Contusion throughout the Chest in General, and
Deponent was informed by Mr. Sustamend the Surgeon that
the Deceased had received a kick from a Horse.
