Elizabeth Addy< no role > Wife, of Francis Addy< no role > of Cross
Street in the Parish of St. James Westmr Shoemaker
on her Oath saith, That she was [..] this Morning
in her Parlour behind the Shop, Says that
Thomas Empson< no role > Apprentice of Mr. Addy was in
the Shop, and sitting in the Arm Chair, and
Dept. desired him to put on his Coat, to which
he answered that he should not put his Coat
on because it rained,, Says that she
continued in the Parlour and heard no Noise
in the Shop nor did any Person come into
th Shop to Deced; Says that about Eleven
o'Clock Dept. want to put a little Dog out
of the Parlour into the Shop, and not seeing
the Deced she looked around and saw the
Deced Hanging in a Corner of the Shop, upon
which she was frighetened and called out
and Mr. Stuart's Maid Servant came down
and saw the Deced Hanging, and Dept. believes
that he Hanged himself, but thinks that the
Deced did not intend to Hang himself, Says that
the Deced where out of an Errand frequently
stand lower than was necessary and that
Mr. Addey on his Return some times corrected
him with the Leather Strap. & sometimes
with his Hand, but not at all for some days
past.

Fielding Empson< no role > of Lower Seymour Street
Portman Square father to the Deced on his
Oath saith, That the Deced when about three
years Old was much frightened at a Fire
which happened in North Audley Street , That
he has the right the Deced ever since that time
deficient in Understanding, and that
he appeared at times very flighty and Disordered
in his Mind.
