day of September 1776 at the Parish of
St. Mary le Strand within the Liberty of
Westmr. in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of John
Pritchard
< no role > lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

Prudence Hardwick< no role > Servant to Mr. Thomas
Nelson
< no role > at the Sign of the George in Drury Lane
in the Parish of St. Mary le Strand Westmr. on her
oath Saith that on Saturday Night about the 12 o'Clock (Sepr. 14)
John Pritchard< no role > the Deced came into Dr. Nelsons
House, very much in Liquor, Says that he
went to Bed in a Room too pair of Stairs
between twelve o'Clock Deced frequently
slept there) to a Lady who followed him to
the House it was going Bed Says that on the Deced's Bell
Ringing about Eight o'Clock Yesterday Morning
Dept. went to him when he ordered some
Cherry Brandy, and drank a Glass of it, Says
that about Nine o'Clock the Deced & the Lady
drank Tea together in Bed, & Deced put some
Brandy in his Tea, Says That the Deced
afterwards, at different times drank three
Glasses of Cherry Brandy and one more Glass
of Claim Brandy, That he desired the last time
(being about hall hom after there in the afternoon
that Dept. Would bring him the Layes Glass, and
Dept. took a Gill Cly Full of Cherry Brandy
& put it an a chair but they widegrantbut Dept. cannot say whether
Deced drank it or not, Says that the Deced was
then alone in Bed, that the Lady went away
between two & three o Clock. Says that about
four o'Clock a Bay brought a Note for Deced
