of April 1770 at the Parish of St. Paul
Convent Garden within the Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Midsex, upon an Inquisition
touching the Death of John Hennings< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty & County

Elizabeth the Wife of James Lewis< no role > a Lodger at
Mr. Saml. Wood< no role > in Exeter Street in the Parish of St.
Paul Covent Garden on her Oath saith, That John
Hennings
< no role > was a Lodger in the same House, That she
saw the Deced come into the House yesterday about
One o'Clock alone, and as he went upStairs into
his Room desired Dept. to bring him some Water
to drink saying that he was dry, upon which
she advised some Balm Tea, made it, and carried
it to Deced, whom she found lying upon the Bed
vomiting, and appearing to be in very great pain,
Says that John Sullivan< no role > a Neighbour came in
and saw the Deced, and went down with Dept.
when Deped's Brother came into the Room

his Oath saith, That about Ten o'Clock Yesterday
Morning Deced came into Dept. House, called
him out, desired to know how much he owed

see him no more, Says that he followed Deced
into his Lodging and asked him what was the
Matter, to which he answered that his Father of
