the Door of the Hole they both went in and Mr Chewter
took the Ribbon from and about the Deced's Neck, it being
bery tight, and tied with a running look, Says
that he was informed by People that stood there that the Ribbon was fastened
to the Iron Bar of the Door and that a Soldier had
Cut the Deced down, Says that there is no other Key
to that part of the Watchhouse wherein Deced was
Confined but that which Deponent keeps and that
it was not out of his Custody from the time he locked
the Deced up, to the time he was called up by
Hawkins the watchman, and therefore believes that
the Deced Hanged herself, as no Person could get
to her.

Robert Curtis< no role > Beadle on his Oath saith That on
Saturday Night last he was on Duty at the Watch house
that between Twelve and One o'Clock one Barton
a Watchman brought the Deced to the Watch house
charging her with abusing him on his Duty and
being Disorderly, Says that the Deced staid in the
Watch house with the Constable Warder & this Dept.
about an hour and an half and was then locked up
in a Hole at one End of the Watch house, where she
went very Quietly, Says that about half hour after
three o'Clock Dept. went home (Mr. Chewter being gone
a little before) and left Mr Comber the Warder in
the Watch house alone Says that the Deced during
the time she was in the Watch house with Dept. appeared to
be uneasy, saying that she had never been there
before, That she had lost a good Friend and did not
care which way she went.

Milly Mills< no role > a Lodger at Mr. Caynes in Sturton
Ground Wife of Daniel Mills< no role > a Carpenter , on her
Oath saith, That she has known Sarah Knight< no role > the
Deced (who sometimes went by the name of Catherine
Marshall
< no role > ) between two and three Years, Says that
the Deced was a Common Street Walker at Nights
and lodged in the same House with Dept. Says
they thy both went out together on Saturday Night
last about Eight o'Clock, and after walking together
until about Ten o'Clock Dept. lost the Deced in the
Street, and went home alone at Eleven o'Clock
and did not see the Deced since until she saw her
dead at the Watch house next Morning, Says that
the Deced about a week ago heard of her Mother's
Death, which made her very uneasy, That the
Deced lay in Bed last Saturday all day, and Dept.
believes that the Deced was at times Disordered
in her Mind.

Pensioner in Greenwich Hospital , on her Oath saith
That on saturday Night last she was in Company
with the Deced at a Publick House in Union Street
Westmr. and drank a considerable Quantity of Liquor
there says that the Deced changed two Shilling to [..]
for her Liquor and had four or five more in her Pocket
That the Deced then told Dept. that she had lately lost
her Mother, and that she should sometime or other
make away with herself, and then appeared to be
much concerned, and cryed.
