An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King, at the Parish of Saint Margaret
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Fifteenth day of September in the Fourteenth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain,
France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Prickard< no role > , Gentleman,
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on View of the Body of
Elizabeth Morris< no role > This name instance is in set 1336. then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of John
Campling

chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Elizabeth Morris< no role > This name instance is in set 1336. came to
h er Death, do upon their Oath say , That the said Elizabeth Morris< no role > This name instance is in set 1336. on the Tenth
day of September in the Year aforesaid being Riding upon the Shaft of a Waggon
in Kennington Lane in the Parish of St. Mary Lambeth in the County of
Surry, It so happened that in Jumping down off and from the said [..] haft, the
said Elizabeth Morris< no role > This name instance is in set 1336. Accidentally Casually and by Misfortune fell down unto
and upon the Ground, and that the Fore Wheel of the said Waggon passed
over the Right Leg and Thigh of the said Elizabeth Morris< no role > This name instance is in set 1336. , by Means whereof
the said Elizabeth Morris< no role > This name instance is in set 1336. then and there received a violent Wound and Bruise
in and upon her Right Leg and Thigh, of which she languished from the
saidTenth day of September in the Year aforesaid until the fourteenth
day of the same Month and Year, at the said Parish of St. Margaret within
the Liberty and County aforesaid, on which said Fourteenth day of
September aforesaid at the Parish of St. Margaret aforesaid, she the said
Elizabeth Morris< no role > This name instance is in set 1336. of the mortal Wound and Bruise aforesaid did die.
And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say, that the
said Elizabeth Morris< no role > This name instance is in set 1336. in Manner and by the Means aforesaid, Accidentally
Casually and by Misfortune came to his death, and not otherwise.
In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner, as the said John
Campling

and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this
Inquisition set their Hands and Seals, the Day Year and Place
first above written
