22d, July 1773 .

Verdict of the Jury touching the Death of Susannah Burton< no role >
otherwise Nash< no role > .

That the said Susannah Burton< no role > otherwise Nash not being of
Sound Mind Memory and Understanding but Lunatic & Distracted
on the 20th. day of July 1773 at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square in the Liberty of Westmr . to wit into the
River Thames there did Cast and throw herself by Means of
which said Casting and throwing she the said Susannah
Burton
< no role > otherwise Nash in the waters of he said River
was then and there suffocated and Drowned of which said
Suffocation and Drowning she the said Susannah Burton< no role >
otherwise Nash then and there instantly Died. And so the
Jurors on their Oath say that the said Susannah Burton< no role >
otherwise Nash in manner and by means aforesaid not
being of Sound Mind Memory and understanding but Lunatic
and Distracted did drown and Kill herself. In Witness
whereof the Foreman on behalf of himself and the rest of
the Jurors has hereunto set his hand this 22d day of July 1773
