Verdict of the Jury touching the Death of Martin Prentice< no role >

That the said Martin Prentice not being of Sound Mind Memory and
Understanding but Lunatic and Distracted on the 21st. day of July 1773
at the Parish of St. James in the Liberty of Westminster one end of a
certain price of Cord unto a peice of Wood running over the top of a
Closat in the Lodging Room or Apartment of him the said Martin
Prentice situate in Greens Court, and the other end thereof about his
own Neck did fix tye and fasten and therewith did then and there
havy suffocate and strangle himself, of which said Hanging
Suffocation and strangling he the said Martin Prenticedidthen
and there Died And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath
aforesaid do say that the said Martin Prentice not being of Sound
Mind Memory and understanding but Lunatic and Distracted in
Manner and by the means aforesaid did Kill himself In Witness
whereof the Foreman on behalf of himself and the rest of the
Jurors has hereunto set his hand this 22d. day of July 1773.
