to wit.

An Inquilicion Indented, taken for our Sovereign, taken for our sovereign Lord the
King, at the Parish of saint James
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of Collegiate Church of st. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Twenty second day of July in the Thirteenth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain,
France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Prickard< no role > , Gentleman,
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on View of the Body of
Martin Prentice< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of Francis Johnston< no role >

Good and lawful Men of the said Liberty. duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Martin Prentice came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say,
That the said Martin Prentice not being of sound Mind
Memory and understanding but Lunatic and Distracted on the Twenty first day of July in the year aforesaid
at the Parish and in the Liberty and County aforesaid one end of a Certain peice of cord unto a peice of
wood running over the top of a Closet in the Lodging Room or Apartment of him the said Martin
Prentice situate in Greens Cowet in the Said Parish Liberty and County and the other and thereof
about his own Neck did fix tye and fasten, and therewith did then and there hong suffocate and
Strangte himself, of which said Hanging suffocation and strangling he the said Martin Prentice
then and there died. And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say, that the
said Martin prentice not being of sound Mind Memory and understanding but curatic and Distracted
in Manner and by the Means aforesaid did Kill himself. In Witness where of as well the
said Coroner as the Foreman of the Jurors aforesaid on behalf of himself and the Rest of the said
Jurors have to this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals the Day Year and at the Place
abovementioned.
