on his Oath saith That on Tuesday May 18th. as Dept. believes
He was at the Sign of the Black Bullin Wood Street
in the
Parish of St. John the Evangelist
Westmr. about four o'Clock
in the Afternoon, That Mr. Cox was drinking with some
Company in the Taproom, Says that Thomas Ring the
Deced passed by the Window on the outside and Cox being then walking
in the Taproom and seeing the Deced flourished his Hands
towards the Window seemingly for Diversion, and upon
the Deced's coming into the Taproom [..] flourished his hours
again towards him in a friendly manner as Dept. thought
Says that the Deced was very much in Liquor and asked
Cox if he was in earnest, and Cox answered that he was
in correct, and both of them Ripped their Cloaths off
part of their Arms, and on again, and Cox took the Deced
as Dept. thought in a friendly manner, Says that he
let the Deced loose and Deced immediately with his
Hand struck Mr Cox [..] upon his Temple with great force
which brought Blood from Cox's Temple
. Says that they
were then going to fight on the House but Mrs. Mallard
turned them out and they fought in the Street, Cox
being in Liquor but not so much as the Deced, Says that
the Deced reced his falls and that Cox fell upon him both times
Says, that the Deced afterwards made a blow at Cox and
missing him Deced fell down across the Kennel, Says that
the Deced got up did not attempt to fight any More
but went back into the Publisk House sat there about
six minutes, and putting his Hand upon his Body and
