Dowager's Arms, where a Surgeon bled the Deced,
and he was afterwards a little better, and was led home
to his Lodgings by Curtis and Dept. Says that he called
upon Dept. about Eleven o'Clock the same Morning when
Deced complained of a great Noise in his Head, and a
pain in her Shoulder, Says that the Deced appeared
to be a little in Liquor but not drunk when he fought.

Richard Hall< no role > a Shoemaker at Mr. Roberts in Earle's
Court in the Parish of St. Ann on his Oath saith That
his was drinking with Lewis, Bread, Sharpe, the Deced
and some others at the Feathers Alehouse in Newport
Street between three & four o'Clock last Sunday Morning
Says that Lewis and Beard Quarrelled, and Lewis
wanted to Fight, went out, took off his Cloaths, came
in again and struck Beard twice, who was unwilling
to Fight, but upon Sharpe's saying to him if he did
not fight he would never own him more, Beard
agreed to Fight, and Sharpe said that he would be his
Second, and the Deced said that he would be Second
to Lewis, Says that Beard and Lewis fought some
time, and Beard Struck Lewis when he was down
upon which the Deced struck Sharpe, who asked the
Deced if he was a Man for him, and on the Deced's
answering he was, Sharpe said that he would have it
out with him when the Bottle was over, Says that
Beard gave out, and that Sharpe & the Deced then
were going to Fight in Rider's Court , Says that they put
themselves in a posture of Defence, went towards each
other and that sharpe Struck at the Deced,what madeimmediately
himReeld against a Window and fall down upon the
Pavement where he lay motionless and insensible
bleeding very much out of his left Ear, Says that the
Deced was taken up and led to the Sign of the Dowoger's
Arlies

in Cranbone Alley where he was bled and then
appeared to be something better, Says that the Deced
was not drunk nor very sober, Says that there were
people before the Dept. when Sharpe struck at the Deced
which prevented his seeing Sharpe's Hand hitting the
Deced but believes that it list the Deced and that the
Deced fell in consequence of the blow
