Elizabeth Wright< no role > Servant to Lady Ann Cecil< no role > in lower
Grosvenor Street in the Parish of St. George Hanr. Square in the
Capacity of her Ladyships Woman, on her Oath saith, That the
Deced came to Lady Cecil's House last Friday, Says that she
lay with the Deced on Saturday Night, and last Night, Says
that this Morning after day light, but Dept. does not know the
hour, Dept said that she would put out the Lamp, to which Deced
answered, do, or words to that effect, Says that some time
after the Deced got up, but Dept. being sleepy did not hear
the Deced go out of the Room, her did she see her afternoon
alive.

Mary Cotton< no role > Cook to Lady Cecil on her Oath saith, That
she came down Stairs this Morning about Seven o'Clock and
on her going into the Kitchin, the turned round and saw
the Deced's Bed Gown first, and then observed that the Deced
was Hanging by the side of the Kitchin Stairs, upon which
this Dept. ran up [..] airs frightened and acquainted Sara [..]

went across the Street to Lord Exeter's and took his Lordships
Porter Thomas Jones< no role > back with her, who went to be Deced.
And this Dept. says that she believes the Deced hanged herself.

Thomas Jones< no role > Porter to Lord Exeter's in lower Grosvenor
Street on his Oath saith That this Morning a little after
Seven o'Clock, he was ordered by his Lordships House keeper,
who was much frightened, to go with Lady Cecil's Maids which
[..] he did, Says that he went down the Kitchin Stairs in Lady
Cecil's House and by the side of the Stairs saw Elizabeth Hughes< no role >
the Deced. hanging by a small Cord which was fastened to the
Bannisters of the Kitchin Stairs and around her own Neck,
Says that he cut the Cord and laid the Deced down, on the
Floor, says that she was dead and Cold, and had been
hanging some time.
