Informations of Witnesses taken this 10th, day of,
August 1771 , in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square
in the Liberty of Westminster at the Dwelling House of
W. Richard Burton< no role > the Sign of the Whitehorse as
Knightsbridge Before Thomas Richard < no role > Gentleman
his Majesty's Coroner for the said City and Liberty
touching the Death of Joshua Chattess< no role > then and
there lying Dead, as follows

Simon Seabrook< no role > Servant to W. Palmer Cyder Merchant in Bridewell
Precinct in his Oath says that on Thursday the 8th, day of August
Instant he was in a Waggon drawn by two Horses and loaded with
Empty Basks and Hampersaboutbetween 4 and 5 o'Clock in the
Afternoon about two hundred Yards from the Half way House at
Knightsbridge , the Deced was driving the Waggon and standing on
the ground near to the Wheels and saw him go up towards the
Horses and in about 5 Minutes he heard some People cry out and
Man was run over, Deponent then locked down and saw the
Deced laying on the ground about a Yord and a half from the
Track of the waggon, Deponent says there was Several Carriages
passing to and from Town at the same time, but cannot undertake
