Informations of Witnesses taken this 21st.
day of July 1769 in the Parish of St. James
in the Liberty of Westminster at the dwelling
House of Mr. Thomas Dawes< no role > known by the
Sign of the Star and Garter Alehense in Pall
mall Before Thomas Prickard< no role > Gentleman
His Majesty's Coroner for the said Liberty
touching the death of Joshua Prestige< no role > then
and there lying Dead as following

Samuel Clayton< no role > Ser Clerk to Mr. James Christie< no role > of Pall Man
Auctioner on his Oath says that Yesterday Morning about
8 o'Clock he went to Mr. Christies Auction Room in
Pall mall when at his Entering the Room he saw the
diceased, the diceased enquired of Deponent what he
should do in respect to his Business Deponent Inected
him to go and Inquire for a gentleman in Garrard Street
and at same time told him he might get his Breakfast
before he returned, about half an hour after 9 he returned
Deponent was then at Breakfast with Mr. Christie in the
