Richard Reading< no role > of the 2d. Troop of Horse Grenadiers on his Oath says, that
he was in Company with Mr Beanchamp at the Marquiss of Granby's Head at
Knightsbridge Monday was 3 weeks drinking part of a Pint of Beer, saw the hind
wheel of the Exeter and Plymouth Stage go over the Deced's Leg, that the Coach went
on as for as the Old Swan which is some little Distance and then the Coachman
Stopped and looked back, and then immediately went on rather faster, he assisted in
carrying her to the Hospital and went to see her afterwards but she did not say any
thing to him about the manner of the Accident, says, that he went that Evening
to Friday Street and saw the Coachman, that he seemed to be desirous of making
some Recompense, but after he had got out for a little time and come in
again he behaved very rudely, That the Dept. saw the Coachman since and
heard him say he was very Sorry.

Westmr . Labourer on her Oath saith that yesterday was 3 weeks being at her own
Gate of the Old Swan she saw the Deced crossing over from the Marquiss of Granby's
Head with a Child in her Arms playing with it, She saw the first of the Horses
of the Exeter and Plymouth Stage run against her right Shoulder and the
Coachman cried Dann [..] the Woman take care that she saw the Woman fall
down and the Horses and Wheels go over her Legs, that the Coachman did
not Stop, but the Dept. saw him get up from his Coach box, and that he looked
back and saw the Wheels of the Coach go over her, that he kept the some
pace as before.
