James Alexander< no role > of Dartmouth Street Westminster
Chymist and Apothecary on his Oath saith, That on Monday
Evening lastaboutbetween Seven and Eight o'Clock Isabella

< no role > the Deced (as Dept. believes) came into Depts. Shop and
asked for three penny worth of Landanum, and brought a
Phial in which he believes there had been Landanum, after She had
been Served, Dept. asked for another penny worth, which
Dept. likewise Served her, Says that he asked Deced who
the Landanum was for, and in what Quantity it was to
be taken, to which Deced Answered that it was for a
Gentleman going out of Town, who took sometimes
Thirty drops, at other times Twenty, and at other times
fifteen drops, Says that he was informed yesterday Morning by his Servant
that the Woman was dead that had bought the Landanum
of him the Evening before, and produced the Phial which
was brought from Depts. Lodging with a very small
Quantity of the Landanum in the bottom of it, which
Phial Deponent believes to be the some he Served the
Landanum in, to the Deced the Evening before, Says
that he went to Deced and found her dead, and from
her appearance Dept. believes that she had taken the
Landanum, which was a sufficient Quantity to cause
her Death.
