Thomas Pitt< no role > a Soldier in the First Regiment
of Foot Guards on is Oath saith That on Thursday
the 6th. Instant (as Dept. thinks) this Dept. was at
work as a Laborer at a New Building for the King near the
Queen's House, in the Parish of St.Martins theGeorge Hanr. So [..] are
Fieldswhere the Deced was likewise at Work
as a Laborer , Says that the Deced was runing
after a Rate under the Scaffold, upon which a great
Quantity of Bricks were placed, Says that one of
the Bricks fell down off and from the Seaffold upon
the Head of the Deced, Says that the Deced's Head
bled much but Dept. did not see the wound, Says
that the Deced washed his Head with Water, and
worked, the remainder of the day, but did not
work there afterwards. Says that there were
several Bricklayers at Work on the Scaffold
but Dept. believes that the Brick accidentally
fell down off the Scaffold, the Deced having had no
Quarrel with any of the Workmen at the Work,
to this Depts. Knowledge.
