Informations taken this 28th. day of
August 1767 at the Parish of St. Margaret
within the City & Liberty of Westmr. in
the County of Middlesex , on an Inquisition
touching the Death of John Hutchinson< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish City Liberty
and County

Samuel Jones< no role > Pupil to Mr. Humphreys Surg
to the Westmr. Hospital on his Oath saith, That
on the Eighth day of this Instant August, John
Hutchinson
< no role > the Deced was brought to said Hospital
and reced there, (having been an out Patient for
two or three days before) Says that the Deced had
a Wound on the back part of the Head, which wound
was enlarged and dressed by this Dept. in the Presence
of Mr. Humphreys, Says that all proper Care was
taken of Deced in said Hospital, and that he thought
for about ten days that the Deced would recover
Says that the Deced about a week ago grew worse
and continued so until Yesterday Morning
between Eight & Nine o' Clock when the Deced died
Says that the Head was opened Yesterdaythotand a large
Quantity of Matter found between the scull and the
Membrane, and between the Membrane and the
Brain, under the Wound which Dept. believes to be
the cause of Deced's Death, Says that the Deced
informed this Dept, that he reced the Wound on her
Head by a Brick falling upon it.
