City & Liberty in the
County of Middlesex }

Information taken this Thirteenth day of December 1760
at the Parish of St. Margaret within the City and Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Middlesex on an Inquisition touching the Death
of Samuel Smagasgall lying dead in the said Parish City Liberty
and County.

Richard Allen< no role > Pupil to Mr. Humphreys one of the Surgeons of
the Westmr. Hospital in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr . on his
Oath saith, that on the Twenty eighth day of Novr. last Samuel Smagasgall< no role >
the Deced was brought to said Hospital, says that on Examining the Deced
he found that one of the Deced's Ribs on his left side was broke and a woman
on the right side of the Deceds Head, but Dept. observed no Fracture, says that
the Deced grew easier in a few days, That he was afterwards Feverish
and died yesterday in the afternoon in the Hospital (the 12 Instant,) Says that he opened
the Deced's Head this day, and there found a concussion of the Brain which
Dept. believes was the came of the Deced Death and this Dept. says that
he was informed that the Deced foll of Scaffold at Building belonging
to the Duke of Montogue on Black Hath Whereby he reced the above hurt
