Informations of Witnesses taken this Twenty-
third day of September 1766 at the House of Mr.
Tynmore known by the sign of the Star and Garter
situate in Pall Mall in the Parish of St. James within
the Liberty of Westmr. in the County Middlesex , on
an Inquisition touching the Death of the Revd. John Brown< no role >
Doctor in Divinity lying Read in the said Parish Liberty & County.

Charles Carlile< no role > of Pall Mall in the parish of St. James
Apothecary on his Oath saith, that on Sunday the Seventh
of this Instant September this Dept. was fetched to the Revd.
John Brown< no role > the Deced, Who then lodged at Mr. Bethells
the Corner of the Hay Market , Says that he found the Deced
in Bed, very Feverish [..] , attended with great dejection
and lowness of Spirit, says that he advised the Deced being
Cupped, and that the Deced was Cripped that Day as Dept.
was informed when he visited him in the Evening, Says that
he visited the Deced every day and prescribed such
Medicines as he thought proper for the above complaints.
Say that the Fever abated, but that the lowness of Spirits
and dejection of Mind continued, That on Thursday
the Eleventh Instant (as Dept. believes) Sir John Pringle< no role >
was called to Deced, and visited the Deced every day,
as well as this Dept. did, until last Wednesday, Dept.
being obliged to go out of Town last Thursday, That the
Deced did not get better, and that the Deced told Dept. Several times
that the Trouble & Horror of his Mind ware intolerable,
and this Dept. says that he believes the Deced was
Disordered in his Mind.
