offer to Fence, Says that Mr. Breton immediately
dropped his Sword and on opening the Deced's Wastcoat
found him Bleed in his Breast, which Dept, saw issuing
out of a Wound there, and believes that Deced reced
that Wound from Master Breton's Sword, Says that the
Deced complained of a Pain in his Belly on Sunday
Night, and died about Nine o'Clock yesterday Morning,
Says that he knows of no Quarrel between the Deced and
Master Breton, and that they were always very Friendly
Says that the Deced sayd on Sunday Night when

reced the hurt, Master Breton went down Stairs and
returned with two of the Scholars, the House keeper, and
one of the Maids, Says that Mr. Breton was very much
grieved from what had happened to Master James, and west
out to fetch the Surgeon, and their Dept, says that Master
Breton broke his Sword in theyardPassage and seemed to be very

Casar Hawkins< no role > of Pall Mall Surgeon on his Oath saith
that on Sunday last about Seven o'Clock in the Evening
some young Gentleman come to Deponent's House earnestly
pressing to speak to him, one of them who seemed extreamly
pale and frighted said that he was a Scholar at the Academy
in Soho Square and that he was afraid that in Play
with a Sword he had dangerously wounded a School fellow
and bogged that he this Dept. would go immediately to give
him all the Assistance in his power, Says that he went
directly, and found him the Deced lying upon a Great Chair,
his Body crowded together, and upon Dept. desiring him
to sit up and turn round he immediately vomited, his
Pulse was low and irregular and upon Deponent's asking
Deced if he any Pair, he told Dept, that he felt a sharp
pain quite down to the bottom of his Belly, Deced's Coat
and Wastcoat were open and his Shirt very Bloody
