Informations taken this 24th. day
of January 1764 at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square within the Liberty of Westmr .
on an Inquisition taken on View of the
Body of Vincent Cranfield< no role > then and there
lying Dead.

Thomas Lodge< no role > Clerk at the Workhouse belonging to
the Parish of St. George Hanover Square on his Oath saith
that he was yesterday standing before the Workhouse
in Mount Street about one O'Clock, and saw the Deced
standing upon a Scaffold erected against [..] a House of
in Mount Street , for repairing the said House, says that
he saw the Deced fall from the said Scaffold, to the
Ground, whereupon Deponent went to acquaint Mrs.
Mr. Mears the Governor of the Workhouse therewith
who immediately went out to the Deced, and Deced
was immediately after brought into the said Workhouse
being then Alive, Says that Mr. Burnett a Surgeon
being then in the Workhouse , Bled the Deced, says
that the Deced did Bleed, and in about a quarter
of an hour afterwards died in said Workhouse
Says that he verily believes the Deced reced
Bruisesby the fall from the Scaffold which
occasioned his Death, Says that he believes by

the Scaffold falling upon the Deced which
occasioned his Death, says that he believes that
the Scaffold was not properly fastened and secured
which occasioned its falling downSays that he
saw no Person with Deced upon the Scaffold when
Deced fell.
