Order to remove TEN Male Covicts to Portsmouth or Langston Harbours

Sheriffs of London and Middlesex Whitehall 9th April 1794.

Gentlemen

His Majesty having been pleased to give directions that ten Male Convicts under Sentence of
Transportation in the Gaol of Newgate should be removed from thence on board the Hulks in Portsmouth or Langston Harbour
near Portsmouth and Committed to the Charge of James Bradley< no role > Esquire Overseer of the Convicts on board the said Hulks I am
Commanded to Signify to you the Kings Pleasure that you do forthwith cause the said Convicts if upon being Examined
by an experienced Surgeon they shall be found free from any putrid or infections distemper to be removed on board the said
Hulks where they are to remain until their Sentences can be carried into Execution or be otherwise disposed of according to Law

P.S You will send with the Prisoners
An Account of their Ages and Respective
Sentences.

Order that Muir, Margarot and Skirving be delivered to Two Messengers in order for Transportation

Sheriffs of London and Middlesex Whitehall . 8 February. 1794

Gentleman

I am Commanded to signify to you His Majestys Pleasure that you do deliver to the Bearers hereof William Dowson< no role > and John Nost< no role >
two of His Majestys Messengers the Bodies of Thomas Muir< no role > Maurice Margarot< no role > and William Skirving Convicted at Edinburgh of the Crime
of Sedition and Sentenced to be Transported for the same and now in Newgate in order that they may be delivered on board a
Ship in the River Thames to be Transported to New South Wales pursuant to their Sentences and to the order made by this Majesty
in that behalf

and William Skirving were delivered to Dowson and Nost Two of His Majestys
Messengers who put them on Board the Surprise then lying in the River Thames the 9th.
February 1794. in order that they might be Transported pursuant to their Sentences and the Kings
Order in Council for that purpose their Names are Written on pages 44. No. 87 - 50 No.19.
