John Watson< no role > of the Hay Markett in the City of Westmen
[..] the above named Deft. maketh Oath and saith that George
Layfield an Officer in his Majestys 13th. Light Dragans
is a material witness for this Defendt. without when
testimony he believes he cannot safely proceed to trial
in this cause and that the said Gross Layfield< no role > is at present
as deponent hath been informed and believes at York but is
expected to be in London provinces to the next Sessions
and this deponent further saith that he hath made diligent
inquiry for the presidence of the said Prosecutrix but
cannot find the said Prosecutrix or when she resides
