Vs.
William Poole< no role > }
On the prosecution of
Mc. Cann< no role > for an Assault.

William Poole< no role > of the Broad Way Wetmr. in the County of Middx
Stable Keepermaketh Oath and saith that he this Deponent
was indicted at the October Session last for Assaulting the above
named Prosecutor and that he pleaded thereto and put in Bail
to take his Trial at the present Session And this Deponent
further saith that he has made diligent Enquires to find out
the said Prosecutor for the purpose of serving him with the
necessary Notice of Trial but has not been able to get any
Intelligence so as to serve him personally with the said Notice
And this Deponent further saith that he has been at the House
of [..] an Army Agent in [..] illers Street Strand
and was informed that the said Prosecutor was gone to
Ireland in the Capacity of a Clerk to some Regiment but to
what part they do not know and that they did not think
the said Prosecutor was likely to return which Information
this Deponent verily believes to be true.

15th. day of January 1799}
