Subscriptions were recommended by the President
towards defraying the great Expences of this Hospital.

Proposal of Mr.
Smith's representatives

The President acquainted the Court that the Occasion
of calling the same was to take into Consideration a Proposat
made by the Representatives of the late Mr.- Charles Smith< no role > one
of the Securities to the Hospital for the fidelity of Anthony
Wingfield< no role > the late Receiver for terminating the Question between
the Hospital and them respecting such Security. He acquainted
the Court that pursuant to the order of the last General Court a Case
had been Stated by the clerk for the Opinion of Mr. Gibbs an
Emint. Counsel which opinion was read and likewise several
Letters which had Passed between the Solicitors for Mr. Smith's
Representatiors and the clerk upon the above Subject in the
last whereof they Propose that Mr. Smith's Representatives shall
Present to the Hospital £500 on having the Bond given up
and every question respecting the same waised.

Resolved

Accepted. Bond to
be cancelled in
payment of £500.

That the above proposal be accepted and that the
Bond be cancelled and delivered up to Mr: Smith's Representatives
upon Payment to the Treasurer of the £500.-

That the liberation of Anthony Wingfield< no role > from his
Confinement and the time thereof be referred to the Committee.

Proceedings of the
grand Committee to be
read at next General Court
instead of being the
subject of a Report

That the Minutes o the Proceedings of the Meetings of the
Grand Committee be in future read at the first General Court
to be held Subsequently to such Meetings instead of being made
as heretofore the Subject of the Annual Report of the
Proceedings of the Grand Committee.
