Mr: Treasurer acquainted the Court that the occasion
of calling the same was to receive the report of the proceedings of the
Grand Committee in regard to the refference made to them in the affair
relating to the Surgeons.

Mr: Cowells
Resignation


A Letter having been received and read from Mr:
Cowell one of the Surgeons of the Hospital. desiring leave to Resign.

It was Resolved that his resignation be accepted.

The resignation of Mr: Cowell having been signified
to this Court previous to the reading of the report of the Grand Committee
(to whom such intended resignation had not been communicate.) the
said Committee desired leave to withdraw report. And the Question
being moved and seconded that the said Report should be withdrawn
accordingly. It was carried in the Affirmation.

Resolved

That it recommended to the Grand Committee
to consider of a Plan for reestablishing Liberty for the Pupils of
Mr: Guy's Hospital to see not only the Operations but also all the
Practise of this Hospital as they formerly did.

Resolved.

That the Grand Committee with as many of the
Physical and Chyrurgical Governors as shall please to attend (be
desired to meet inspect the several rules and Orders relating to
the Physical and Chyrurgical Government thereof and make such
alterations and additions as they shall think proper: And report the
same to a General Court to be called for that purpose.

Resolved.

That a General Court be holder on Wednesday the
12th. day of October next for the Election of a Surgeon in the room of Mr.
Cowell.
