She must frequently Inspect into the Behaviour of the Nurses
Helpers and Watchers towards the Patients and if She at any
time discover any neglect of Duty She must acquaint the Trea-
surer or Steward therewith So that due Punishment be inflicted
accordingly

She must frequently when the Bell Rings to Prayers look into the
Womens Wards & Oblige such as are able to Attend the Service of
God in the Chapel & if she find any defaulters to put them of
their next days diet and sent such Persons names to the Steward

She must see that good order be kept in the Women's Wards and that all
that are able be Obliged to take their Dinners and Suppers at the
Table & that all be in their Beds at eight of the Clock in Winter and
nine in the Summer Evenings going through the Womens Wards
every day

She must on taking in days Attend the Governors Takers in with
an Account of the number of empty Beds and see that the Nurses
do all duly attend in their Places with such of their Patients as
are to be discharged

She must be particularly carefull that the Characters of such Persons
as are admitted to be Watchers in this Hospital be good so that the
Patients be carefully attended

She must be a Single Woman & so Continue during her being in
the Office.

She is not to receive on any Pretence Presents or demand Money
from any of the Nurses Helpers or Watchers

She is to reside in this Hospital in the House or Apartment pro-
vided for her and shall not Lodge out of the Hospital without
leave of the Treasurer nor employ any Helper Watch or Patient
about any but the House Business

And we do recommend it to this Court to order the said
Rules to be read to the Candidates for that Office before the Election

Gratuity
of the Steward

We taking Notice that Mr. Jonathan Welch< no role > Steward of
this Hospital hath behaved himself diligently for the Year past
do recommend it to this Court that he may have a Gratuity of Ten
Pounds paid him by Mr. Treasurer

We have Ordered Green Staves to be sent to the follow
ing Gentlemen as proper Persons to be Governors of the Hos
pital Vizt.
