Mr. President then acquainted the Court that
the immediate Occasion of calling the same was to Choose
an Assistant Physician to this Hospital Pursuant to
the Resolution of the last General Court

The following Resolution of the Grand
Committee of this day being now read Vizt.

The Committee taking into Consideration the
Nature of the Duty of an Assistant Physician for the
Choice of Whom a General Court is now to be held Came
to the following Resolutions Which are Order'd to be
laid before the said Court for their Approbation Vizt.

Physician Orders
relating thereto


Resolved That it is the Opinion of this
Committee That when and as Often as any of the other
Physicians shall happen to be prevented from Attend-
ing the Patients either by Illness or otherwise That
such Physicians shall give the Assistance Physician
Notice thereof the night before (if it may be) Or as
Early Notice as the Case will Admit To the Intent that
the Assistant Physician may in such Case do the
Business of such Physician or Physicians as shall
