be so Prevented Which the Assistant Physicians is Ordered
to Do accordingly

Resolved That the Assistant Physician
be at Liberty to Attend the Hospital with the other
Physicians as often as he Pleases

Resolved That the Assistant Physician
be at Liberty to take Pupils yearly not Exceeding Two for
his own Particular benefit

It was Moved and the Question put That
this Court doth agreed with the Committee in the said Re-
solutions And the same were Unanimously Agreed to
And it is Ordered That the Candidates be Acquainted
with the said Resolutions before their Petitions are read

It being Moved That for the Future No
Election of any Additional Officer of this Charity (who is to
be Elected by the General Court) be proceeded upon Unless
the fitness of such Election shall have been previously
Consider'd & approved of by a General Court to be expres-
ly Summon'd for that purpose And the Question being
put It passed in the Affirmative

It being also Moved That such Three of the
Candidates as shall be Declared to have the Majority on
the first Holding up of Hands shall be severally Divided
for In order to their being reduced to Two And that the Two
Candidates who upon such Division shall appear to have
the Majority shall be again Divided for in order to Determine
the Election And the Previous Question being put whether
this Question be now put it passed in the Negative

Then the Court Proceeded to the Choice of an
Assistant Physician And the Petitions of Dr. Brocklesby
Dr. Milner Dr. Pate Dr. Scott and Dr. Thomas were several
by read (after that each of them had been acquainted with the
said Resolution relating to the Duty of the said Office)
and being severally put in Nomination it appear'd that
Dr. Milner and Dr. Pate had the Majority of Hands
And upon a Division It appear'd that Dr. Milner had 143 Votes and
Dr. Pale likewise 143 Votes (Including the Tellers) whereupon the President Voted for
Dr. Milner & Declard him Duly Elected to the said Office to held
the same during the Pleasurer of this Court and he was called
in and Acquainted with his Election
